At Seasons we recognize that no two children are alike in their development. We understand and respond to each child as an individual. We pride ourselves in meeting his or her needs in a relaxed and gradual pace. We recognize that in the early stages of infancy, each child has his or her own unique schedule for eating, diapering, playing and napping. Our caring staff will guide children through his or her daily routines with comfort, care and consistency.

The Nest (6 weeks to 12 months)

In the time span of one year, your child progresses to a stage that is marked by locomotion, deliberate motor skills and the beginning of language. Our "hands on" environment allows the children to explore their world and develop these skills. Our activity corner and carpeted play area allows for movement and early exploration.

The Hummingbirds (12 to 18 months)

Infants at this stage of development become more social and outgoing and seemingly enjoy and imitate the adults around them. Through our "hands-on" environment, children are able to explore and develop a sense of the world around them. Our activity corner and carpeted play area allows for movement and early exploration.

Rainbow (18 to 27 months)

As your child enters this stage of development, we see continued refinement of language, motor, cognitive and social abilities. Our qualified and caring staff plan activities throughout each day including "Magic Circle", music and movement, art and sand/water exploration, language learning, physical fitness and many other opportunities for him or her to enhance these stages.

Sunshine (27 months to 3 years of age)

During this stage of growth and development, improved motor and verbal skills enable each child to explore, test and interact with the environment for the purpose of determining personal identity or autonomy. Our curriculum is designed to provide opportunities for each child to develop in some of the following areas; language, self-help skills, positive self concept.

The Bear Cave (3 to 4 years of age)

At this stage of development, a child has an increased ability to perform self-care skills and improved strength, speed, accuracy and ease of performing tasks that require fine motor control. Our curriculum is designed to offer children an opportunity to explore their ideas and feelings, experience self-initiated problem solving, and experiment in an atmosphere of success. Our qualified and caring staff encourages children to understand that theyıre lovable and capable individuals.

New Horizons (4 to 5 years of age)

Entering this stage of development, the beginning of conscience slowly emerges. This is an important step in the process of socialization as it allows peers to become increasingly important to one another. Children are able to begin to extend their sphere of acquaintances beyond the limit of family members. Our "Readiness" program was designed to adhere to the required skills necessary to ensure a successful first year in Kindergarten.

The Explorers - Kindergarten to School Age

Our "Explorers" room is a special place for our friends who attend school in the Fairport Central School District . We welcome children from other districts, but parents must provide their own transportation to and from our site. Children will enjoy this "World of Wisdom" with our hands-on learning environment which builds their confidence and helps them believe they are capable learners. Laughter abounds in this safe haven as children gain self-esteem while practicing their social skills. Through daily interactions, friendships form and learning soars. While building relationships, children develop problem solving skills that can be used cooperatively and individually. Teachers balance learning experiences and a childıs need to unwind before and after school. We have a curriculum that focuses on year round weekly themes. In house field trips and Intergenerational visits are an enhancement we provide for children to learn about who they are and the world around them. For children who need consistency, this program offers a routine that hugs them throughout the day with love and trust. They leave us ready to embrace their day at school with an abundance of self assurance to support them.
